Alumni

Medically reviewed by:

At United Recovery California, we offer continuous support for those who have already completed our luxury treatment programs.

You may wonder what this means for your transition back to maintaining your sobriety on your own. We offer an alumni program that allows everyone who completes one of our rehab treatments to stay in touch with peers and staff. Through this network, you can also help others go through the recovery process.

In this guide, we will present to you the benefits of our rehab alumni program in Southern California and how you can get involved.

What Is “Alumni”

From Latin, Alumni means “a graduate”. We chose this as the name of our continued support offers program, because we wanted to congratulate everyone who succeeded in the challenging times where great changes begin to happen – the rehabilitation phase of treatment.

As a member of our Alumni, you will have access to multiple events, initiatives, be able to get ongoing support and advice for stressful situations such as changing jobs or houses, relationship difficulties, and more. In addition, you will be a beacon of hope, if you so wish, for those who are just joining the Alumni program in California.

Alumni stands for continuation, for stable recovery, for unity, and for a new phase.

Addiction Programs You Can Join From

Once you complete any of our luxury addiction treatment programs which include rehabilitation as part of the ongoing process, you will gain access to our Alumni team and offers.

This includes, but is not limited to:

We offer additional support for both the graduates of our rehab program, but also for those who go through an extended program at our California facility. Please contact us for exact program offers and aftercare options.

How to Find Alumni Events?

When you complete your recovery program, you will have gained life skills and new interests to fuel future development. Alumni programs create opportunities for you to receive support and help others on their journey to sober living.

Once you graduate from one of our treatments, we will talk to you and offer joining our Alumni groups. We will offer you:

  • Volunteer Opportunities
  • Local Chapter Meetings
  • Continuing education programs
  • Chance to intermingle with peers and new graduates

The Many Benefits of Helping Each Other

  • Sharing Experiences
  • Giving Advice
  • Meeting Like-minded People
  • You All Know What Addiction Is Like

Many of our newcomers read about our Alumni program and are surprised to see so much about sharing experiences and helping each other. We understand, at this point in life, we can hardly think about how useful we can be for others and how being useful for them would help us.

However, having a support group with people who have gone through the same or similar experience, locally, is an immeasurable hep in the ongoing recovery effort.

What Can I expect from South California’s Alumni?

Alumni events can take on many forms, such as retreats or reunions. We often provide speaking opportunities or weekly meetings to help new recovery graduates stay on track and learn from program veterans. By joining our alumni group, you can meet people with a common goal and stay in touch with those who helped you get through recovery.

You may find that you feel differently about your friends and family members who still drink or use drugs. There might be times where you have to separate yourself from the places and people that led you to addiction in the first place.

While this is a great strategy for recovery, it may leave you a bit lonely. This is why for our California Alumni we offer many chances to meet up and join in, to help the local communities, help each other and re-learn some coping techniques via advice from other Alumni and our team.

At United Recovery California, we love to see clients return with their stories of challenges and successes. This is why we strive to offer more opportunities for you to feel welcome and share your recovery success with us, as a logical continuation of rehabilitation and detox.

We invite our Alumni into our sober living spaces to help with transitioning back to daily life without the rush and stress of a sudden switch to the environment. Further, our aftercare program makes it easy for you to stay in touch and continue to take advantage of our services.

Transitioning back to everyday life without the support of our medical team and therapists can raise a bit of anxiety. This is why, after you complete your drug or alcohol addiction program, we will continue to be with you and support your effort to transfer from the safe and supervised environment of our luxury rehab center into everyday life with all its stressors and triggers, which may obscure the joy of being sober. We will not allow this to happen – with our regular Alumni events and initiatives, even during a pandemic, you will be able to remain the bright-eyed, smiling person who left our center at the end of your detox and rehab program!
