What are the treatment options available in Yuba City?

By integrating treatments, the root causes of drug addiction can be tackled and treated. It is necessary to treat the symptoms of addiction, but coping methods need to be learnt, in order for you to cope with the triggers that lead to the drug or alcohol dependency.

Private Residential Programs

A residential rehab program allows you to live at the rehab facility and receive all addiction treatment on the property. Its main benefit is the ability to receive integrated treatment and support day by day.

There is huge value in removing yourself from the home environment and becoming fully immersed in the rehab program, because you are not exposed to the stressors and triggers that may cause you to abuse drugs. If you stay in a controlled environment that is designed to be supportive, you have a higher chance of completing your rehab program while reducing the chance of relapse and its associated pitfalls.

Clients who need treatment for dual diagnosis, co-occurring disorders and severe substance dependencies are strongly advised to enrol on an inpatient rehab program. An inpatient addiction treatment program will support you with getting sober, but note that maintaining sobriety requires constant effort as the early stages of recovery can be difficult. On completion of your inpatient rehab program, you must transition towards greater independence as you build goals for your new sober life

Sober Living Programs

Support and guidance are provided during a sober living program in order to navigate your future better. The programs typically include:

  1. Support throughout the day from a house manager
  2. Building parameters for positive recovery behavior
  3. Fostering supportive relationships with others in recovery who will be working through similar kinds of experiences

Outpatient Programs

Outpatient rehabilitation programs are usaully quite flexible by allowing you to have therapy at the treatment facility while you continue your work or family commitments.

Outpatient programs assist you with:

  1. Education around substance abuse
  2. Counseling services and therapy through group settings or one-to-one sessions – The required duration of outpatient treatment is three months and may last longer than a year, this depends on your individual requirements.

Detox Only Programs

Most patients need a medical detox to commence drug or alcohol rehabilitation, because it addresses physical dependencies on substances by clearing it from your system. As your body gets used to functioning without substances in your body, you may experience withdrawal symptoms.

Once you get through the difficult phase of physical withdrawal you will enter the second part of your rehab journey, working to heal from the underlying causes of your dependency to end the cycle of drug addiction or alcoholism. It is normal to undergo withdrawal and cravings for a while after the substance has been flushed from your system. You can limit the risk of relapse by learning coping strategies to apply to your new life.

Paying for Private Treatment

If you choose to have private treatment, you can contact your healthcare provider to make a claim or pay for treatment yourself. Many health insurance providers will cover some of the costs of rehab, which includes medical detox, the rehab program, medications and aftercare. Your provider and policy terms and conditions will determine the amount of cover you can claim for. We advise that you check to see the amount you can claim against your policy before you enroll in a treatment program.

Our Verify Your Insurance page can help you understand the amount of cover you can claim for. Clients will be responsible for the cost of rehab if they do not claim from their insurance provider. Many treatment providers provide payment options to clients who cannot afford the full cost upfront.

State Funded Programs

State-funded rehab programs are beneficial for people who have alcoholism or substance addictions and who may not be able to afford private rehab. With the use of stipends from state, federal and Medicaid budgets, these programs help to remove hurdles to rehab by providing:

  1. Services for a safe detox (medically-assisted if required.
  2. Addiction counseling, therapy and aftercare support services

State-funded rehabilitation programs are there to help those with little disposable income or those with little to no health cover. For you to enroll you will need:

  1. Proof that you are a US resident
  2. Proof of income
  3. Proof of living arrangements
  4. Medical details about your substance misuse

Maintaining Addiction Recovery in Yuba City

You may notice some initial challenges once you leave rehab. At the rehab center the environment was safe and you had professional support. When you depart rehab there will be some new challenges that you will have to learn to cope with. If you experienced a severe dependency and have not developed a social structure to return to when you leave rehab, you may find long term recovery more of a challenge. Relapse is a possibility without the right aftercare and support groups to help you navigate your new life.

Aftercare & Alumni Programs

An aftercare program is a resource to support your recovery when you go back to your daily life. Up to 60% of people in recovery will relapse because of the unpredictable changes they experience, so enrolling in aftercare can boost your chance of staying sober.

Once you finish your rehab program, you will consider the services most beneficial to your long-term sobriety, and an aftercare program will be designed to help you sustain it. Those who complete their drug or alcohol treatment programs can join an alumni community program like ours, which gives you the chance to engage with staff and others in early recovery.

With the support from this network you will be able to attend fun events and receive motivation and advice from other ex-clients who are in active recovery. You may also want to return the favor by showing support towards others in recovery.

Support Groups (Fellowship Meetings)

Support groups are a key resource because they incorporate social structures into addiction recovery. If you participate in a group that follows the 12-step model, like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, you will receive ongoing support through local meetings. When you take part in support groups, you will have the ability to share your experiences and feel empowered by other individuals who are also in recovery. Through companionship and committing to the programme, those in recovery can feel empowered to take responsibility for their actions and protect those that love them most.

Support for Families & Children Affected by Addiction

Addiction hurts everyone living in the household to some extent. It isn’t just the person with the addiction who is affected, the other people in the family need help too. Family support groups have two benefits: you can help yourself and the person overcoming addiction. Family members will benefit from participating in support groups such as:

  • Parents of Addicted Loved Ones
  • SMART Recovery Family & Friends
  • NAMI Family Support Groups
  • Al-Anon
  • Families Anonymous
  • Alateen
  • Nar-Anon
