What are the treatment options available in Trinity?

Through integrating treatments, the root causes of drug dependence can be explored and overcome. It is important to treat the symptoms of addiction, but coping strategies need to be learnt, in order for you to cope with the issues that lead to the drug or alcohol dependency.

Private Residential Programs

Staying at a addiction rehab center and having all of your treatments there is called being in a residential rehab program. A primary benefit is that you will receive holistic support and treatment day by day. By being away from your home environment and staying at the treatment centre you can protect yourself against the stressors that keep you trapped in the cycle of drug or alcohol abuse.

You can finish your rehab program and avoid relapse more easily if you stay in a controlled facility which is protective and supportive. If you have a serious substance dependency, or you suffer from a dual diagnosis or co-occurring illness, a residential addiction treatment program is strongly recommended.

Taking part in a residential rehab program is an effective way to get sober, and maintaining it will require persistent focus because maintaining recovery is difficult during the early stages. On completion of your residential rehab program, you will transition towards more independence as you set goals for your new substance-free life.

Sober Living Programs

Sober living programs help individuals in recovery develop further control over their lives, with support and some guidance. Sober living programs usually have:

  1. Sending a house manager to see how you are doing regularly
  2. Working on the kinds of behaviors that are acceptable in recovery
  3. Developing supportive and constructive connections with other peers in recovery

Outpatient Programs

Outpatient rehabilitation programs are typically more flexible because they allow you to have treatment at the treatment center and maintain any job or family obligations.

Outpatient programs are best known for:

  1. Education around substance misuse
  2. Counseling and therapy by facilitating group support or individual sessions – The duration of outpatient treatment is three months and continue for longer than a year, this is depending on your individual requirements.

Detox Only Programs

Going through a drug or alcohol detoxification program is an important step in rehab as it tackles your physical dependency by removing substances from your system. Withdrawal symptoms typically appear during the detox phase because your body has to learn to function without alcohol or substances it was physically dependent on.

This is only the start of the rehabilitation journey, the next stage is to confront and address the underlying problems that lead to your addiction, so that those same patterns do not happen again. It is common to undergo withdrawal and cravings for a period of time after the substance has been eliminated from your system. Learning the necessary skills can minimize your risk of relapse as you focus on your new life.

Paying for Private Treatment

Private treatment will need to be paid with your own funds or claimed directly through your insurance. In most instances, insurance providers will allow you to claim for the costs of treatment, to some extent, including a medically assisted detox, treatment program, and aftercare programs. The amount covered will be set by your provider and your policy.

We recommend you understand how much cover you are entitled to prior to enrolling in a program. Our Verify Your Insurance page can help you identify the amount of cover you will get.

If you do not want cover from your insurance provider, you will need to pay directly for your treatment. Some treatment centres allow you to opt for a payment plan if the total cost is a barrier to you receiving treatment.

State Funded Programs

If you want to recover from your substance or alcohol problems but cannot afford private treatment, you may be a candidate for a state-funded rehabilitation program.

Via state funding and Medicaid, these programs may support your recovery with:

  1. Medically-assisted detoxes
  2. Treatment programs and aftercare support

State-funded treatment programs offer support to individuals who reside in low income households or do not have health insurance. In order to qualify you will need to provide evidence regarding:

  1. Proof of residence
  2. Proof of your financial situation
  3. Medical history and details regarding your substance misuse
  4. Proof that you have the legal right to live in the US
